Spaceport America Cup

Spaceport America hosts the Intercollegiate Rocketry Engineering Competition (IREC) annually out at Las Cruces, New Mexico, where over 150 student teams around the entire world come to compete in various apogee and propulsion divisions, share designs and technical knowledge, and network with some of the largest Aerospace and Engineering companies in the world, such as Blue Origin, Virgin Orbit, Marotta, Northrup Grumman, and more.

UNDER DEVELOPMENT

Knights Experimental Rocketry has represented UCF in competition the past 2 years, bringing experimental hybrid motors to their 10,000-foot apogee division. This year, with the additional support to our Ground Support Equipment, improvements to our avionics and payloads division, and years of hybrid research, we are confident in our ability to deliver a quality competitor.
